The religions of the world aren’t pieces of a puzzle (with convenient edges and borders) or paths up a mountain to Universal Oneness – they are made of many threads and processes (rooted in language, culture, mythology, consciousness, and more) that create an integral and ever-evolving tapestry.
“A Brilliant Matrix: How Religion is Evolving” (presented by Oracle Institute) is an exploration of the stages of consciousness (how we grow up) and states of awareness (how we wake up) and a study of how religion is evolving in our time. Based on the work of philosopher Ken Wilber and using Don Beck’s developmental model of Spiral Dynamics, we will discuss the “Spectrum of Consciousness” present in the world’s faith traditions and consider the truth found in all worldviews.

About the Instructor:
Joran Slane Oppelt is an international speaker, author, interfaith minister and marketing consultant with over 20 years of experience in music production, media and community-building. He is the founder of Interfaith Week in St. Petersburg, Florida, as well as the Integral Church, an interfaith organization committed to community service, religious literacy, and personal transformative practice.
Joran serves as chaplain emeritus at Unity Spiritual Campus in St. Petersburg. He is a member of the St. Petersburg Interfaith Association and an Ambassador for the Parliament of the World’s Religions. Joran has spoken at campuses and conferences across the US, including the International Academy of Design and Technology, Building the New World Conference, South by Southwest, Parliament of the World’s Religions and the Integral European Conference.
